September issues not late?

Yen Press has yet to do their customary blog post showing off the covers for the September issue, but some folks posting recently in the comment thread for their August issue announcement are reporting that they’ve received their September issues already. One commenter says, “I got both the August and September issues in the mail with in a week of each other.” Others complain they still haven’t received their August issue…

Have you got your September issue yet?

My September issue arrived Aug 8. The earliest I have ever received it. (For reference, August’s issue arrived July 30.)

August 8? Wow! Mind spilling the beans as to who’s on the cover and what special features are on the inside?

Cover of Japanese side: Tobari of Nabari no Ou. Cover of other side: three of the Hunters-in-training from Nightschool. Special features: 4 color pages for Nightschool & more from volume 1 of the Kieli novel series.

w00t, Nightschool. Crack that whip over Svetlana’s head!

The Kieli parts printed so far have been interesting, but I’m not sure if I really like it or not yet…

That’s how I feel about Kieli too. I’m still on the fence about it.

I checked my mailbox today (Sunday) and my ish was in there, so it must have come Saturday. Yay!

Kind of odd that Yen Press hasn’t done a post on their site about this issue yet, but I’m betting it’s intentional; receiving the issue five days after the post may feel less late than receiving it ten days after, even if the post just happened five days earlier in the latter case. If that makes sense.

Makes sense to me. Another possibility is that they may be waiting to hear through other sources (like your blog, for instance) that the issues are starting to arrive before posting that the issue is out for delivery. Another way to keep down the anticipation level.

I received my issue today (Monday, Morning, Aug 17). Yey to color pages! The issue’s condition had some damages, but nothing to complain about, at all. Status: On Time!

Whoop, there it is. Guess that means I’ll have to stop being lazy too and update YPI already.

I still haven’t received my October issue yet. Yeargh.

Just posting that I have yet to be discouraged of the shipping time(except for Maybe the first issue). I have Oct and Nov right now,
