Sarasah makes its last appearance in this issue, but Pandora Hearts makes its first.

Two controversies surrounded this issue. First was that the issue was very late to arrive for subscribers; I myself didn’t get my issue until June 1st, when they typically arrive near the middle of the month. Due to possibly related problems, many folks outside the US also reported having problems finding the issue at retail locations where it had usually appeared.

Second was JuYuon’s editor letter, which mentions Sarasah’s dropping and makes it clear in no uncertain terms that they will continue to cycle new series in and out in the future, so that addicted readers are enticed to continue the story by purchasing the collected volumes. Your favorite series could be the next on the chopping block with little notice. (Presumably, Yen Plus’s original series, Nightschool and Max Ride, are safe.) Many people expressed their displeasure in the comments thread of the issue’s blog post, with at least one person pulling the “I’m canceling my subscription” card.
