Comic-Con 2009

Is anyone here going? I sure am, and I hope I can get to meet NaRae Lee and get her signature. I can’t wait!

Far, so far away…
No, I will not be going. Though I do wish I could enter the mailing list to win the original piece of art from Soul Eater, creator Atsushi Ohkubo.

I found this at the comments on the Yen Press website under the Comic Con 09
Maeyan says: my friend is at the con and I asked her to stop by the booth to see if she could get me a copy of Kieli. She said the Twilight fans were swarming the booth and that the people manning the Manga section were totally ignoring her and wouldn’t stop chatting with each other… Thought I’d mention it. She visited the booth twice today with no luck. I am hoping that it’s just first day kink
O God! I don’t want to assosiate with Twilight fans! I sometimes wonder why Japanese Otaku’s get suckered into buy “everything”. This over here is are North American version of a manga/anime sellout, it’s criminal.

They’re promising some new announcements at their panel today at 5:30 PM Pacific time. I’m looking forward to see what they have to announce - though after Black Butler and Twilight, it’s been a plenty eventful enough month already, I think.
And I’m normally not one to get all excited about such things, but that Soul Eater art looks pretty dang sweet.

Here’s a list of announced acquisitions. Wow, so many… I hope Yen Press isn’t lining themselves up to ADV themselves.
Deb Aoki live tweeted the Q&A panel. Most frightening is this one…
I hope some pictures pop up somewhere. Pix of the NaRae signing would be sweet too.

Dame, alot of them are female-audiance ‘comics’. I don’t like that.

Sakuya Izayoi:
Hey guys I took some pictures while I was at Comic-Con if you don’t mind me sharing.Note: These were taken at the Square Enix booth, not at the Yen Press booth
OMG so kool!! GO Square Enix!
Thanks for sharing the pictures!
…and to think that i`ll need to wait years for most of them(products) to be released in english…

It’s the Japanese ones. Note that the artist’s name is written in vertical kanji on the right side. But yeah, I don’t know why they would display those either. “Hey, look, here’s some stuff you can’t buy, and probably wouldn’t be able to understand even if you could!”
